Who grows your food?
I’m Charlie and I grow all the vegetables and herbs offered by Colonial Trades Farm.
I’ve owned the land on which I have established my market garden for almost 20 years’ time. That’s given me the chance to eliminate the presence of synthetic and harmful chemicals and focus my efforts on building healthy soil through the methods Nature provides.
Like many of you, I shop for locally produced food at places like Swan Brothers Dairy, Front Porch Bakery, SY Beef, and the Rogers County Farmers Market. Crisis after crisis has shown us how important local goods and services are and how impactful any disruption to the transport network can be. ‘Hyper local’ may be the contemporary buzzword, but the foundation of this Republic was firmly set on communities of self sufficient farmers providing produce to their neighbors to support all of the other trades necessary to the building of the nation.
May I grow something for your table?
